The Graduate

She’s a high school graduate now. And she nailed her salutatorian speech (like a boss). I couldn’t have been more proud of her. Love you Jess!

Aside from graduation festivities, I spent time with my other lovely sisters Rebecca and Jaime, baked with my mom, met my dad for breakfast and hung out with my best friend. A very short but successful trip, I’d say.

I’m looking forward to coming back at the end of August for Katie’s wedding and to have time to see the rest of my family. Fingers crossed that there is more sunshine next time.

Life Updates

So Derek moved in with me a couple of weeks ago and I have been one happy girl. I’ve been counting down the days until we would live together ever since we moved to New England. It’s so nice to have him around. There are some adjustments and compromises that need to be made for us both to be comfortable, but in general–it’s the best. I wish we were moving into Boston sooner, but at least I have his company in the meantime.

In other news, work has been cray-zay. I’ve really been struggling to keep up with everything. I think there is an end in sight though. I’m one of the event managers for a big, three day event in Boston at the end of June and I’m crossing my fingers that things slow down once that is over. I’m thankful for my job, but I’d like to keep a balance between work and play.

And, speaking of play, I am flying home in just three days! My little sis is graduating from high school and I’m thrilled that I can be there to celebrate her accomplishments. She’s amazing (just like all my siblings) and I’m looking forward to some much needed family time.

I hope all is well with you. Here’s to the start of a beautiful and busy summer!

p.s. Congratulations to my bestest friend and her fiance! Love you Rebecca!
